The Voice of the LORD
August 2020 Cloud of His Presence Fasting & Prayer Prophetic Ministration.

Text: John 10:27, NKJV.

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

The voice of God can be said to be the power in His spoken or printed word. His voice is what distinguishes between a remark or comment and an indication of a fact.

One of my favorite scriptures is seen in the book of Psalms 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God”.

These words are calming to my spirit just as water is to a parched soul. The power and truth in this verse of scripture gives me the confidence and hope needed to silence unwanted remarks made by the adversary through several adversities. However, embracing indicated facts spoken to me by the Holy Spirit through God’s infallible word.

Such was the case of the King of Assyria, Sennacherib and their threat against Jerusalem
(2 Kings 18 and 19).  Sennacherib sent an entourage to discourage the Israelites by instilling fear in their hearts as a result of the message he sent. Sennacherib’s armies had captured all of Judah’s fortified cities. So, he sent a message to Hezekiah to inform him of his intentions to capture his city and to render Hezekiah hopeless.
Hezekiah prayed, and his prayers served as a means by which God expressed His  greatness and delivered His children through His spoken word – His Voice (2 Kings 19:1-37).
Indeed, Sennacherib stated his wicked plans but because it was not backed by the authority of the Most High God, all Sennacherib made were remarks. However, the LORD’s response was a statement of divine facts of that would take place. Thereby making the latter the truth because it had the LORD’s backing – His voice.

When I face various Sennacherib’s in my life I choose to be still and acknowledge that my God is God. Though it might be painful, discouraging or even scary; I choose to remain still and allow God be God in my situation.

You may have Sennacherib raging against you in form of sickness, threats, accusations, false allegations, challenges that seem overwhelming, fear of tomorrow etc. The voice of God is telling you to “Be still and know that He is God”.

Assurance in God’s word and stubborn faith can change any situation. Silence every powerless remark by prayer, assurance in God’s word and intentionally walking as a conqueror.

As the LORD made a spectacle of Sennacherib’s powerless remarks; so the LORD will dissolve and render useless every Sennacherib confronting you henceforth in Jesus name.

Remember our challenges creates opportunities to hear God’s stance on the matter.
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me”.    (John 10:27, NKJV).
